JCB have always given each machine an individual serial number, and JCB have also updated their range on a regular basis. For this reason, on most occasions, a serial number is vital to assist in identifying the spare parts you want. Typically a JCB serial number will look like:

The last 6 or 7 digits are most important. We can help to identify your JCB spares without a serial number, but it is more difficult, and can risk supplying the wrong part.
Genuine versus Non Genuine?
We always recommend that genuine JCB parts are used. We supply the whole range of genuine JCB spares.
If your JCB is outside it’s warranty period, we at HPS have no hesitation in offering non genuine alternative parts. Our non genuine parts meet or exceed the original JCB parts specification, and in many cases are sourced from the same manufacturer as JCB would buy from. Naturally JCB can not manufacture every component for their vast range of equipment, and have to source elsewhere. We source from similar suppliers.
For example many JCB machines have Perkins or Isuzu engines – we supply genuine Perkins and Isuzu parts. The benefit to JCB owners, is that our non genuine JCB parts can offer savings of up to 75% against the genuine part.
